Careers with Chief

impacts our success. That’s why we maintain an extremely comprehensive
hiring policy and superior driver qualification standards. Our drivers
must possess a technical knowledge base and high-degree of skills that
can rival many high-tech careers.
The most stringent hiring practices have been developed
at Chief. Preliminary interviews, a driver road test, employment forms,
reference checks, on-site interviews, medical exams, orientation, and
drug testing are just a few of the tasks new recruits are required to
complete prior to securing a position with Chief.

Driver Qualifications
Age:
At the time of hire not less than 25 years of age.
Health: Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination
and any examinations required by federal or provincial authorities.
Education: Must be competent in reading and mathematical skills
of all non-driving requirements of the position.
Vision: If corrective lenses are required, they must be worn. If
contact lenses are worn, spare lenses must be at hand.
Driving Record:
Within the last three years, an applicant must have had no more than two
moving violations and/or accidents and no suspensions or revocation.
Language: Fluent in English, both written and oral.
Abstract: maximum of six points
Must
have a minimum of five years driving experience with class 1 license.
Other Requirements:
- Drivers
must meet all federal and provincial requirements.
- Must
have an acceptable employment record and demonstrate mature judgment
and good character.
- Must
successfully complete Chief’s driver training program.
